Graduate Students

Fall 2021: Funded graduate student opportunity available to study biogeochemical responses to wildfire, beginning Summer 2022. Click here for details. US applicants should apply by November 15, 2021 to receive full consideration for additional MSU Fellowship funding.

Prospective graduate students should review the graduate study pages for the Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences or the Department of Forestry for more information about how to apply. MSU’s Ecology, Evolution and Behavior Program or the Environmental Science and Policy Program may also be of interest.

Information on programs that provide waivers for fees associated with graduate applications can be found here.

Incoming Ph.D students are eligible to apply for funding from NSF’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program during their first semester. Prospective graduate students and postdoctoral associates: Please see the Research page for an overview of ongoing projects.

International students and postdocs should also visit MSU’s Office for International Students and Scholars.

Undergraduate Students
